New Music: The Meadows Brothers

Brothers Ian and Dustin Meadows, who are from Chester, Connecticut, trace their roots to their parents record player — and beyond them to Hank Williams and Woody Guthrie.

They write that “the end result [is] two kids from New England becoming infatuated with the roots of American music, the art of crafting song, and being able to pass on the joy they receive from the music to an audience.”

Dustin plays rhythm and harmonica and Ian is on guitar. They both sing.

Above is “A Train Makes a Sad, Sad Sound” and below is “Lonesome Pine Company.”
