I am happy to announce that Patrick Riley, who is at Ohio State, won the music trivia contest that the site hosted last month. He scored 3 points and, if I remember, got everything right that he answered.
The Daily Music Break made a donation of $50 to the BuckeyeThon Dance Marathon, which is aimed at pediatric cancer. Here is a bit more about what certainly is a worthy cause. If anyone has a few bucks to spare, here is Patrick’s landing page.
The photo is from 1923. Dance marathons were a pretty brutal business. People would dance for months at a time, apparently. The great Jane Fonda movie “They Shoot Horses, Don’t They?” tackled the subject. There is some video at YouTube, but it’s pretty depressing and seemed inappropriate to post here.
